About
Jessica Williams
Raised by her mother who is a professional violinist, music has always felt very much a part of Jessica's DNA. Compelled to sing and be on stage from an early age, she fell in love with musical theatre and after observing the high level of skill and training it required, she began her passionate study and training in voice technique.
As a student at Sister2Sister School of Singing, she had the opportunity to perform at events such as Michael Jackson's 'This is It' launch at Angel Place and as part of an ensemble on Delta Goodrem's acoustic album at Studio's 301. She was also selected to perform as part of the World Children's Theatre Ensemble in 'Voices for A Better World' at the Royal Albert Hall in London. As a young adult, Jessica has appeared in musical theatre productions around Sydney in leading and ensemble roles in shows such as Mary Poppins (Packemin Productions dir. Neil Gooding), Grease (Bankstown Theatre Company dir. Edward Rooke), Hairspray (SYMT) and Spring Awakening (MacMS). Jessica also performs regularly as a children's entertainer and runs her own business appearing as beloved Disney characters for young audiences. She continues to further her vocal and musical education with various masterclasses and courses and has worked with instructors such as Geraldine Turner and Mary Setrakian (NYC master voice teacher). |
